SPONSOR A SURVIVOR

Help make restorative care accessible to survivors.

For years, Cheryl Rae Shohet has provided restorative tattooing to breast cancer survivors and others whose bodies have been changed by illness, surgery or medical treatment.

Sponsor a Survivor is an ongoing program created to help ensure that financial circumstances don't prevent someone from receiving restorative care. Healing Ink & Art accepts insurance for qualifying restorative treatments, but insurance doesn't always cover the full cost of care. Some survivors are uninsured, underinsured or face deductibles and expenses that put treatment out of reach.

Donations to Sponsor a Survivor help bridge that gap by supporting restorative services including hyper-realistic 3D areola restoration after mastectomy and breast reconstruction, as well as restorative permanent makeup for people experiencing changes such as loss of brows or hairline following illness or medical treatment.

EVERY CONTRIBUTION HELPS

Community support helps Cheryl continue providing restorative care to survivors who need assistance. When necessary, Cheryl also continues to provide this work pro bono.

The Arts Consortium of Carver County serves as fiscal sponsor for Sponsor a Survivor, providing the nonprofit partnership that supports this ongoing program.
