Drawing has been a lifelong obsession, guiding my artistic evolution across various mediums. With both a B.F.A. in Illustration and a M.F.A. In Metalsmithing/Sculpture, I’ve delved into creating intricate jewelry and sculptures that draw inspiration from my travels and the natural world—embracing texture, color, and the beauty of imperfection.
I have always strived to find great purpose through art. Several years ago, I embarked on a mission close to my heart: supporting breast cancer survivors through the art of tattooing. Specializing in 3D areola tattoos, I found a profound way to contribute to their healing journey. Today I specialize in a variety of tattoo arts. Here at Healing Ink I offer body art tattoo. I love the creativity and challenge of designing art with my client. I also specialize in permanent makeup ~ though the results I aspire to are not a “makeup look” but rather a soft and natural look of more youthful contrast. My clients often feel they look up to 10 years younger with these amazing results. I have partnered with The Parlour in Victoria MN for several years now and book my permanent makeup sessions at theparlourgirls.com.
Along side my tattoo work, I continue to craft unique jewelry and artworks that reflect my artistic vision and passion. I offer my areola tattoo services pro bono or through non-client donations, driven by a commitment to making a meaningful impact.
As for my qualifications: Mine is a lifetime dedicated to the arts. For the past 50+ years this has been my driving obsession, much of which has focused on making art with purpose. I am formally educated with a Bachelor and Masters Degree in Fine Art. The recipient of grants, fellowships, scholarships and awards through the years. Owned and partnered in 3 art galleries, participated in some of the most exclusive Fine Art Shows in the United States and Europe. I have been an active member of the local art scene with studios in NorthEast Minneapolis, Judge for The Uptown Art Fair, Minneapolis Muralist and an art educator to gifted youth. I have extensively studied “anatomy” the human form, for decades. Several years ago I embarked on a mission to help breast cancer survivors. It was through this pursuit that I discovered my passion for the body arts of tattoo, permanent makeup and perimedical tattoo (areola tattoo). I am honored to have gained the trust of so many clients. This space is uniquely creative, peaceful and relaxing. Here art truly has purpose, as breast cancer survivors are provided free restorative services and a portion all art sales help to cover the cost of materials. This region is home to many incredibly talented artists. We are painters, potters, jewelers, leather workers, glass blowers and much more. Please come check us out.
